Humble Bundle is used as life support for dying online games almost exclusively now. so I'm going with they needed an influx of players to keep the game sustainable. Someone else just mentioned that the player count is the lowest they have ever seen. well any of the companies or markets mentioned. Making Starfield an X-Box exclusive probably was a bad move and Fallout 76 is being used as a puppet in the ongoing conflict. Microsoft have on record they see Fallout 76 as a niche game with a small playerbase (documents filled for merger). It is a way for Microsoft to show their games aren't exclusives and they can co-operate with their competitors. Having the game on PS+ and Humble Bundle is all about the Activision/Blizzard/King merger. This world packs six regions with distinct biomes. It really seems like a lot of very thankless work. Bethesda claims Fallout 76's world is 'four times' the size of Fallout 4, making for what looks to be the biggest map in series history. Honestly I'm kind of surprised they managed to salvage the game as much as they have. I haven't really bother to confirm that, but from what I have experienced I could see some player retention issues. When I got Fallout 76 from humble bundle, I assumed they needed to increase player counts in order to keep the game alive. It's kinda sad to see a game so full of potential be kneecapped by mismanagement and over-monetization. They are likely on a timeline to implement the seasonal content with little time to fix the mountain of bugs/issues the game is littered with. It's clearly not done, and the people left to maintain it are struggling to keep it alive. I think that's the most frustrating thing about this game's problems. Its a shame this could be really great game if they invest in it a little bit more dev time. Quests will last for people only few hours grind will keep them palying longer. The map contains all the locations you can visit in F76, Public Workshops, Player Stash Boxes, Vendors, Merchants and Traders locations, Treasure Maps Dig locations and Fissure Sites. Also with each new content they break something they have to fix so its definatelly not desired job :) Also since its a big franchise they want to make money and thats being done by Atom shop so most of the new things are just skins or camp items.
